Smart Chemical Services provides chemical and technical services to the energy industry throughout the U.S. The company develops, manufactures, distributes oilfield chemicals and provides related logistics and analytical services. It is a producer of stimulation chemicals, fracking additives and specialty chemicals for production, water treatment, fuel additives and other oilfield applications.
The Production Chemical District Manager carries primary P&L responsibility for the company's Production & Industrial Chemicals product line with the primary objective of growing market share and optimizing margins. This position is responsible for implementation of a successful product line and establishes the company as the premier service and product provider in this market segment.
This position will be responsible for creating the management structure of the district, recruiting sales and operation staff. Development of sales strategy and implementation. Over time the candidate will develop a high performance team and create an environment that attracts top talent to the company.
The position will be a key member of the company's leadership team and as such will play a significant role in driving the achievement of broader organizational objectives.
Ultimate P&L responsibility for the district. Excellent understanding of cash flow accounting principles and use in development of.
Maintaining a thorough understanding of the marketplace including customers and competitors.
Work closely with the various operations management to ensure manufacturing, logistics, distribution, service delivery, customer service, technology, and sales are coordinated for maximum effectiveness.
Develop, maintain and enhance strong industry relationships allowing the company to capitalize on a level of trust established between the company and its customers.
Provide leadership to the employees of the business through clear communication, enthusiasm, and trust.
This person will need to be an entrepreneur, a good business person, and a good leader with strong credentials in the production chemical business. This is a collaborative team player who is comfortable working with a strong management team.
7 or more years of successful leadership experience in the Production & Industrial Chemicals industry.
Broad leadership experience leading different functions such as sales, technology, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, and/or operations.
Strong customer relationships in the Oil & Gas production industry.
Entrepreneurial drive to build, create, and make money.
Strong background in production operations and chemical applications.
A bachelor's degree or work history equivalent is required.
An MBA or other graduate degree is a plus.
